NALM represents an impulse for renewal of adult education:

• It serves contemporary human and social development for the 21st century.
• It fosters individual integrity and initiative.
• It integrates spiritual reality into daily living.

About the Movement

• The Movement is an association of professional educators who share this impulse and contribute to its continuous research and development.

• Others may also connect out of interest or recognition of the impulse. Some may simply want to be informed of its development or give their support.

• We are seeking new ways to acknowledge one another, out of recognition and confidence. This determines the form and working relationship for this association of people.

• The Movement has been growing and maturing over several years and is a living moving field of endeavor. The foundation is out of the anthroposophic science as inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner.

• The NALM began with a first conference at Whit sun 1999.

About the Educator in NALM

Our basic purpose is development of the human being. With this intent the educator strives to:

• work with the 7 life processes to individualize and enliven all learning
• translate knowledge and expertise into faculties and attitudes
• support learning from life experiences and karma
• awaken attitudes and capacities to be creative in life, out of own independent inner resources
• be himself or herself on an own path and thereby able to assist the learner on his or her own journey
• practice constant research and innovation as a basic attitude of the educator.
