Invitation to the Whitsun conference

The conference will be accompanied by a meeting of the Colleagues Core Group on Saturday morning and the yearly  meeting of the members of NALM e.V. on Monday afternoon.

Dear NALM colleagues and friends,

The general NALM Whitsun Conference will be from Saturday, May 30th, 14.00 to Monday, June 1st, 14.00.
This year’s working theme will be:

Me and the Crisis

We see a money crisis in the world, but this is an outer symptom of deeper problems.  We can look at the outer crisis and what lies behind it.  But each person has also a way of handling money out of personal karma.  What does the world crisis mean for the educational tasks of NALM? How do we take seriously the drama going on in the world and in personal situations?
The financial „bubbles“ burst -  from one day to another;  „values“ of gigantic amounts disappear, the whole economy ceases to function without enormous support. An end to this crisis is nowhere in sight – yesterday’s experts look like amateurs. Deepest insecurity and helplessness are the predominant feelings. What is my part in this crisis? What does the money-system need from us?   What new possibilities are opening up just at this time?
Deepest insecurity is actually a state which we know:  

It opens a chance to learn! Learning as a social necessity! How can NALM help in this hour of need?

Now something “NEW” could develop by understanding and changing one‘s own money-karma, and how we work with it in our biography and in our community.
By using different money-karma exercises we want to deal with the “money” subject in relationship to the mission of NALM.
 First exercise:  How do you organize the amount of money needed for the NALM conference? What do you use for orientation? Bring the amount in cash!

This is a new location, near to Berlin, direction Hamburg.  A natural park setting with all services we need.  It is a centre where new ways of money handling are being used for their organization. Therefore interesting for our conference theme.  

Costs:  single room  40 €, double room  35 €, all meals included.
There will be vegetarian food as well as food including meat. The rooms are simple with shared bathrooms (like in Engen).
We will send you a program and travel information after you have signed up for the conference.  If needed, we will write a protocol for those who are interested in the work but not able to come to the conference.
