PROTOCOL – ACADEMY FOR NEW LEARNING
MEETING 5 JANUARY 2007, IN UBERLINGEN
Present: Jaak Hillen, Ulrike Schauss, Monica Pfiffner, Shirley and Coen van Houten
Meeting opened with a reminder from Coen that we are creating a total organism, and that Academy direction should be consistent with and integrated in the NALM totality, while each organ is creative in its part. De-centralized, not controlled, if form too much we fall into old ways.
PROGRAMS AND TRAININGS
Jaak indicated a discrepancy at present between our plan and what people are actually doing as programs. Are we imagining what is not real? Organizing air?
Monica found that our people are not able to plan 6 months ahead for announcements in the Calendar. We may be only able to list names of persons to contact. A growing situation is that we are asked to contribute in programs or institutions arranged by other people, therefore not listed on the NALM program.
Questions: How do people take over the new learning and work with it? What do we do when we see people ‘mess with’ destiny learning? How do institutions make visible their connection to NALM?
Discussion on: training and preparing people, raising professional level, protection of quality, bringing new learning into existing courses or other professional trainings. Realisation AEC is giving a foundation but is not immediately applicable in practise. It is making people inwardly ready to use spiritual forces, but less on practical methods.
Direction: AEC is offering a central spiritual schooling, which can then be specialized in professions or particular areas. For instance one can come to the course as a deepening of capacities for own profession (not only to become an educator). In this way a ‘living substance’ goes into the world; it can be noticed that the person is different in how they work.
ENCOUNTER AND BEGEGNUNGS GESPRACH
Discussion on question of integrating this theme into the NALM and Academy, which we refer to as BG 1, BG 2, BG 3.
BG 1 is general encounter, applicable for all people. It would be a basic NALM theme which anyone of us can offer. Judith Supenkaemper and Ulrike Schauss may also offer a general human encounter course.
BG 2 is a specialized training for encounter for therapists and people who are in a helping or therapeutic relation to another person.
BG 3 is at present a research group toward psychotherapy profession.
Question was how to differentiate on the NALM program, and how to name these 3. (a problem in English!)
Direction: Human encounter is listed in NALM program as a basic course theme. Encounter Conversation (Begegungsgesprach) will appear in a special section. Karmic conversation may be another theme in this area, but for a later time. The research group is internal and not at present to be mentioned in the program.
(Note - see also Core Group report on program)
CERTIFICATION
Discussion on how to care for the quality, credibility, professionality of destiny learning. Can we make visible some rules of how we work with it?
The Academy gives us the chance to raise the level and accreditation for this work, to become more professional if giving such courses, and to protect one another as facilitators. Suggested we could call in those we know who are working with it to bring them up to date with new developments (eg looping exercises). Some persons we could already recognize; some may be advised to attend Engen.
Direction: Eventually we would give a certificate or diploma for the adult educator, after completing training and practise. For now we will create a special certificate for the karma work, a destiny learning qualification. This step will be announced in the next Bulletin under Academy news. Monica and Shirley will draft a certificate and send to Academy group for study.
ARTICLES
Suggested we need to write about karma work – for example impulses of Ate Koopmans and Coen van Houten, protection of karma work, entrances, aspects. Etc.
ADMINISTRATION
It is expected Academy will work through bank account of NALMeV. The verein makes it possible to write invoices and ask for payments or contributions. Fund raising must be done by the verein.
